Review of Mad Max 2 (1981) by Tatsuhito K — 26 Jul 2016
When I saw the first 30 minutes of it, I thought to myself, "Oh great, just another overrated action film that everybody loves but me!" Then it picked itself up and charged full speed until the very end.
"The Road Warrior" is a visceral and gripping movie experience full of spectacular chase sequences that will take your breath away. There isn't really much of a plot, but director George Miller, so confident and competent, knows how to sustain our attention just with the visuals, and he does a marvelous job at that.
The climactic chase is full of kinetic energy and visceral thrills. It's exhilarating. Looking for some pure adrenaline rush? Then this movie is it. Clear your head and dive in. It's really good fun.
