Review of Mad Max (1979) by John A — 04 Jan 2015
This slow burn thriller follows cop Max Rockatansky (Mel Gibson), take on a vicious road gang led by the Toecutter. After his family and friend are brutally attacked, he has only one thing left, revenge.
An excellently made b-movie that put Gibson on the map. A great script, mixed with some pretty good choreographed high speed chases & of course excellent performances from it's unknown cast, Mad Max is a classic that you'll learn to enjoy with time or hate altogether, mainly due to the fact the series gets more enjoyable as it continues.
