Review of Mad Max (1979) by Matthew V — 04 Sep 2010
Mad Max begins like a huge portion of movies start today, right after the apocalypse. But Mad Max does something different than the other doomsday films. It has no zombies or infected people running around.
Instead, it has canniabals and fearful motorcycle gangs. But thats about the only thing special about this film. It starts out very slow and doesn't truly pick up momentum until halfway through the movie and even then it's slow.
There isn't all that much action either. Though mad props to Mel Gibson for portraying the title character. The ending is cool but other than that this isn't a movie that can compete with the action films of today.
