Review of Mad Max (1979) by Ricardo O — 10 Feb 2011
Mad Max plays like a western in a dystopian future in Australia where law and order is very scarce and psychopaths driving motorcycles are on the loose. It is worthy of it's classic status as it goes by with a quick pace and has some of the best action driving scenes committed to film.
It also stars Mel Gibson in his breakthrough role as the Max Rockatansky, a cop ready to retire but forced to take vengeance when a malicious gang of murdering bikers kills his wife and child. Recommended viewing.
8/10.
