Review of Mad Max (1979) by Calvin C — 13 Sep 2013
With car crashes and stunts filmed to perfection, a strong post apocalyptic plot, and strong characters "Mad Max" kicks the franchise off strong. It's still a wonder to me why films cant execute car chases as George Miller can.
No CGI or abundance of it is necessary. Straight practical special effects makes you feel more like you are actually in the movie. That's when you know you have a good movie in hand.
