Review of Mad Hot Ballroom (2005) by Martin D — 28 Aug 2005
Saw this film as part of the Edinburgh Film Festival. Really enjoyed it. It was nice to see so many precocious kids together in one place actually enjoying themselves and working as a team.
It's a really good programme to be running in schools, teaching kids to dance to keep them off the street and to try and improve their attitudes to people, but I would hate to be the one who had to explain to these kids why, despite the fact that they did everything that was asked of them, they still were losers rather than winners.
Feel good film that I enjoyed very much.
