Review of Machuca (2004) by Siyun F — 15 Nov 2007
It is awsome! It well illustrates the violence and inequality of the Chile society during the last ruling days of Salvador Allende. From the innocent eyes of three pre-teenagers. They are puzzled by the world around them, striving hard to make changes. Especially so as it reflects from the rebellion girl, Sylvian. But only to find their friendship and life are being torn apart.
A movie that can make you laugh, and cry at the end.
