Review of Machine Gun Preacher (2011) by Olivier B — 10 Jun 2012
I really liked it, despite some of the preaching rants, those don't come off as preaching to the audience, merely as an insight into the character of Childers. It seemed like it was trying to evoke sympathy and as if Childers was in the right, but there were many times when I thought he was going too far.
Yes, people and children around the world are important, but he neglected his own family and life so much, but the movie almost tried to make that seem like it wasn't as big a deal as it was.
