On a spiritual level, this film is disturbing because it seems Sam Childers has overlooked the Lord Jesus' words that he who lives by the sword dies by the sword. It also suggests that the way to solve violent lawless problems is with more violent lawlessness.

Also even though Sam professes faith in Christ, he is extremely sweary and obnoxious after his conversion and not at all prayerful (in the film) or submitting to Scripture or accountability in his decision-making.

Basically he comes across as a passionate one-man band and while his desire to rescue orphans is entirely commendable, his methods are equally questionable.
