Review of Machine Gun Preacher (2011) by Brandon S — 06 Oct 2012
Nothing short of fantastic! Gerard Butler does a remarkable job. Many people look at the movie as uplift coated in gritty violence and while that may be slightly accurate, there is much more to this movie than that.
This movie is a real world look at becoming a believer, despite what many Christian films portray, as a Christian myself I can say that as much as we would like them to the people around us don't stop drinking or smoking or cussing, so I think that this movie is about more than just helping people in other countries.
I believe that a big part of this movies message is how we have to cope with people from our past life and more importantly help those people and bring them to Christ. Marc Forster did an amazing job.
Michael Shannon's best movie yet. I was told that this movie was very good and I was not disappointed at all, undoubtedly the best movie I've seen in a long time! This one leaves an impression that doesn't soon leave you, it is very important that people see this movie!
