Review of Machete Kills (2013) by Ricky G — 23 Oct 2013
I could tell from the opening scene that this movie was going to fail. Danny Trejo is a good actor and he fits the Machete character great but with this one he just talks too much, unlike the first Machete.
The fact that he talks a lot throws of his intimidation, and when he fought he looked like he was scared to fight these guys and it was just sad. The only thing I could really say was great about this movie was the cast.
Surprising Lady GaGa was good in this for her first movie as El Chameleon. I feel like this movie just wasn't what we asked for, we wanted the badass Machete that we saw in the first one. What I can say was my favorite part was Mel Gibson as Vaz he was fantastic.
This is a rent and watch with your friends and laugh at the stupidity of this, don't expect and amazing movie like Machete. Hopefully Machete Kills Again will be good and bring back what we've been missing.
It looks better then this movie actually was. (You get to see a trailer at the beginning of the movie to the third movie).
