Review of Machete Kills (2013) by Blake E — 02 Nov 2013
The best MACHETE was the fake trailer in GRINDHOUSE that launched this franchise. Short and sweet. The second best was the first movie, which was okay. The charm wore off as the film progressed. In this one the charm wears off even more quickly.
There are some fun scenes to be sure, and the great cast helps, but the risk of making a "so bad it's good" movie is you can wind up with just a bad movie. This isn't bad; it just overstays its welcome.
