This movie is getting a lot of negativity but those who are hating it must have expected a well crafted plot with reasonable things happening. This is a Machete movie. A movie with no purpose other than absolutely ridiculous things happening for the sake of laughing at itself.
The movie doesn't take itself seriously and was never meant to. Is it dumb? Yes. Is the plot black and white and full of one-liners that hit and miss? Of course. Is it bloody just for the sake of it being bloody? Uh huh.
Is it geared towards 16 year old boys? Definitely. It's exactly what I expected and exactly what you should expect from this kind of movie. I loved it.
