Review of Machete Kills (2013) by Mark B — 05 Dec 2013
A lot of fun. Rodriquez knows his strengths and likes to work with his friends, stay close to home in Austin, TX and have nothing BUT fun. Who are we to argue? Sadly, financially, this one didn't find like-minded folks or fans and it's a shame.
A continuation most definitely of the first one and "Planet Terror" and on a personal note, I wish he'd steer closer towards something worthy of the awe and majestic vision we all shared with him thanks to "Desperado", "From Dusk Till Dawn" and his "Four Rooms" segment.
But for now, get a six pack of Chango, a pizza, something to smoke and enjoy on a big fat TV hooked into something loud with some friends who won't wrinkle their noses or bitch about shit. It's Robert Rodriquez having a good time, puntas.
..chill your ass and laugh.
