Review of Machete Kills (2013) by Robert H — 04 Jul 2014
While I enjoyed the first film, this one just ended up being generic and mediocre. This time the dialogue is cringe worthy, most of the acting is bad, the jokes fall flat, and most of all, there were just too many characters.
This is one of Robert Rodriguez's worst films and he shows he is losing his talent as a good director. The overabundance of new characters brings us unnecessary scenes that had no purpose at all and just brings the film to a hault.
The only positives I personally found with this are that I thought Mel Gibson gave a decent performance, Danny Trejo was still badass, and the movie had some fun action in it. But in the end, there is no good reason to waste 1 hr and 50 min watching this mediocre sequel.
