Review of MacGruber (2010) by Luke D — 05 Sep 2011
Hilarious, anarchic fun. A unique and inspired play on every eightees action movie you loved and grew later to be ashamed of (but couldn't totally stop loving). Tons of amazingly funny bits (including Forte making love to his ghost wife, thrusting his naked physique into the thin air over her tombstone): most of which satirize while celebrating an era - not far removed - when an outgrown masculinity was making its last grasps for legitimacy by appealing to the movie dollars of adolescent boys.
