Review of M (1931) by Kevin H — 04 Jul 2011
The pacing gets a little wonky at times, and it's ultimately more cinema's first police procedural rather than first serial killer thriller, but Lorre delivers one of the most disturbing and brilliant performances in cinema history ("Ich.
.. muss!") and Lang uses eerily creeping cinematography and stunning set design and lighting to keep the pace unsettling and eerie throughout. As riveting, chilling and fantastic as they come.
