Review of Lymelife (2008) by Danielle C — 12 Dec 2009
Despite terrific performances all around, this left me feeling somewhat ... beige. So many films have told the "dysfunction in suburbia" story better than this, but there's a glimmer of something here despite the missing pieces.
Timothy Hutton comes and goes through the story like a ghost, which is essentially what his character has become. Jill Hennessey plays the patented "get me someone like Catherine Keener" role very well.
Rory Culkin, though, gives the story what heart it manages to piece together.
