Review of Lymelife (2008) by Paul C — 10 Feb 2010
This was a decent film, but it felt stretched too long. It was really depressing and it really didn't keep you that interested. So you could say that the story was at fault here. But the acting was great.
Two of the Culkin brothers, Kieran and Rory, played brothers in the film. Rory had more of a big part. They both did pretty good. Alec Baldwin was good, but seemed uncomfortable. Jill Hennessy was good and added a nice part for woman fans of the film.
Timothy Hutton was really good and you could feel the depression he was leaking out. Emma Roberts was just ok in my book and Cynthia Nixon was mostly annoying. So overall this is a decent film. I just wish it had more too it in the story front.
I found myself stopping the movie to walk away for a second. But when I got back, I got right back into the movie; then had to walk away again.
