The brothers' Martini have given us a story that just feels so done already. I try never to compare filmmaker to filmmaker but while I was watching this I just kept saying to myself that the tone and look of this flick was such a ripoff of the brilliant Ang Lee picture The Ice Storm. Both deal with unraveling rich people struggling with marriage and sex. The kids, like in Storm, are spoiled and sex obsessed. I am not saying that Ice Storm was the first to tackle this issue, but I am saying that for me this flick ripped that one off the most. Little Roberts isn't half bad, Baldwin plays, gasp!, Alec Baldwin, and Timothy Hutton reminds us how sad it is when a brilliant actor falls through the cracks. People, this guy has an Oscar! I thought the Culkins were ok, they just kind of weird me out.
