Review of Lust, Caution (2007) by Kevin P — 10 Feb 2009
Interesting look into the Chinese-Japanese side of WWII but ultimately not particularly 'thrilling'. The visuals are very much up to Lee's high standards, very rich and well thought out (bar one or two stray light rays.
..) and the characterisation was superb but what exactly was supposed to be taken from it I'm not sure. Deep but seemingly without purpose.
