Review of Lust, Caution (2007) by Kangkeun R — 05 Jun 2011
This is not a typical Romance movie back in the Imperial Japanese era. It's better to understand the history first before actually diving into the movie. Scenary is perfect; you certainly feel you are in Shanghai back in 1940s.
I won't say a lot about Tony Leung; he is phenomenal. Tang Wei proved that she could do serious roles. Definitely needs maturity (this includes historical understanding) to fully appreciate what this movie has to offer.
