Review of Lucy (2014) by Joshua H — 18 Oct 2016
This movies saving grace is Choi Mink-Sik (Oldboy, I Saw the Devil), he's possibly one of the best working actor today, he's brilliant in everything he does... unfortunately this movie is garbage.
It is however still a Luc Beson film, the Jerry Bruckheimer of Europe. Despite his best efforts he can't help himself by putting a healthy dose of euro-trash sensibility in everything he touches. FINAL VERDICT: there's good parts to Lucy that I won't bother mentioning.
It's like a golden turd. At end of the day despite its good intentions, it's still just a piece of shit, now matter how sparky and dazzling it want to be.
