Review of Lucy (2014) by Jeremy P — 19 Dec 2015
I felt worse about missing this one in theaters than pretty much any movie the last 3 years, though it wasn't quite what I expected. Trailers set it up as the perfect Jeremy action movie, but it's just as much for the scientists of the world.
A lot of interesting ideas and visuals, but the brisk pace of the film and short running time get in the way of any really deep exploration of the ideas presented. But, with folks like Scarlett Johansson and Morgan Freeman in front of the camera, and Luc Besson behind it, they make great use of 85 minutes.
