Review of Lucky You (2007) by Damion R — 18 Dec 2007
There is a reason this film sat on the Warner shelf for a year or two...
I love Drew, but this film is such a useless a-typical look at son-trying-to-make-absent-father-proud schlock, you wonder why the actress felt a need to waste such precious time making such regurgitated cinema. Eric Bana must have been reeling when this film saw the light of day after such an impressive turn in "Munich." Then again, this man made "Hulk" and survived, so he may just be able to weather this downfall with his role in next year's "Star Trek" reboot.
The best thing about this "Luck You"? It's set in, of course, Las Vegas, and I love to see shots of Las Vegas...time would have been better spent just looking at a slide-show of my last trip there, however, because this film has absolutely nothing of interest to offer beyond it's cityscapes.
