Review of Lucky Number Slevin (2006) by Jared A — 29 Jun 2011
This film was advertised as being an action film, but it's actually a smart thriller where occasionally someone gets shot. Jason Smilovic's script is clever and exciting, and Paul McGuigan's direction adds an oddball mix of humor, wacky characters fantastic sets.
The film is also well-acted, and everyone seems to be perfectly cast. The scene with Morgan Freeman and Ben Kingsley tied back to back blew me away. And no, Critical Consensus, the plot isn't convoluted.
It makes perfect sense.
