Review of Lucky Number Slevin (2006) by Beth S — 07 Jul 2010
Stunning. This is one of those stories that makes you burn with the desire of having written it yourself. Shakespearean in its hilarity, poignancy, and orchestration. Incredible performances all around.
(All right, Hartnett--you win. I'm thoroughly converted). I can't believe I'm just now seeing this movie, but I enjoyed it more than my first viewing of Pulp Fiction. Beautifully shot. Airtight direction and writing.
A masterpiece of editing. Great soundtrack and score. What can I say... Not much to pick apart because, in my opinion--not a chink in the armor.
