Review of Lucky Night (1939) by Allan C — 17 Dec 2016
Bland comedy that isn't so funny, but is made watchable by the presence of Myrna Loy. Here Loy plays the daughter of a wealthy socialite who decides to strike out on her own. While sitting homeless in the park, she meets Robert Taylor and the two head out into the night for drinks, dancing and end up getting married.
The film then takes an unfortunate dramatic turn and loses any charm there was in the film's opening act. Meh.
