Harry Dean Stanton's last performance and film are a masterpiece. Harry plays Lucky, a eighty-something healthy man who one day falls. That is basically the plot. Lucky goes through practically the same routine every day.
Lunch at the diner, a quick trip to the local convenience store, a drink at his favorite watering hole. David Lynch, Beth Grant, Tom Skeritt, and a cast of character actors fill out the phenomenal cast.
In fact, that one scene between Tom Skeritt and Harry Dean Stanton could carry a whole film with its eye for the detail of the mundane and how life passes by.
