Lucas PG-13 1986 99 Minutes. Directed by David Seltzer.

Acting A, Direction A-, Visuals B+, Story A+, Ending B, and soundtrack A+.

Overall A-.

Lucas is a love story. A romantic-comedy. Lucas is a heartfelt drama. Lucas is a film that in many ways warms your heart.Lucas is also realilistic. It is also charming,funny,and sweet.

While it may not be perfect, although, I believe it is pretty darn close to being a film for the ages. A classic. The story is flat out scary! Scary? Yes, because this movie seems all to real sometimes. It isn't uncommon for teenagers to actually act,do,or say some of the things in the movie in real life.

Lucas, played by "Corey Haim" is really intriguing as the Uncool,Intelligent kid, who skipped a few grades to get to High school early. He meets the new girl in town and instantly starts a friendship with her. it isn't known why at first, but he lies about where he lives, and we soon start to question why he has done that.

Maggie, played by "Keri Green", is the girl Lucas meets during summer vacation. She instantly falls for innonce and charm. She doesn't like like Lucas, but as you can see from the beggining, doesn't want to hurt his feelings, so of course she hold's off on telling him the truth.

Cappie Roew, played by "Charlie Sheen", was the performance I couldn't figure out. Why, a jock would be nice to the nerd, was dumbfounding. Bewildering. yet, honestly, there are nice guys like that out there in the real world too, However uncommom they be.

He was rather fascinating, and defended Lucas because of "Maggie" and his girlfriend, actually had a soft spot for the little guy. He tried to get the guys to back off of him, which In some scnes didn't plan out as expected.

Alise, played by future "According to Jim star", "Courtney Thorne-Smnith", was the role that was smaller than the others, but stood out amongst the few small parts. She was emotional enough to have us caring about her, when she was angry,happy,or even heartbroken by Cappie's affection for Maggie.

Rina, in "Winona Ryder's" debut, she was the one who was friends with Lucas, might have liked Lucas, but he was too blindsided by "Maggie", and his puppy love for her, even though, he could have actually felt feelings for her, but we will never full know. Rina tried to get Lucas too see the truth, and life , and how he would just end up Heartbroken by "Maggie", yet because she brough Romeo and Juliet, he was feeling as if he and Maggie could actually be together.

Jermey Piven's Role was too small to actually be abloe to review it.

Coach: Hear me good, you pissant! Because I'm only going to tell you one more time.

Lucas: Don't you call me that! Don't you call me a pissant you dumb fucking jock!

Coach: What'd you say?

Lucas: You heard me, pencil-brain! I mean, who are we kidding here, who is the pissant? The second-rate coach of a third rate team or me?

The saddening, and heartbreaking fact is Lucas doesn't get the girl. Yet, Lucas does get one thing. Respect. The soundtrack is pretty good stuff. Keeps you intuned, while drawing you into the film with it's dramatic and amazing score. This is a feel good movie.

This is a film that is Underrated, kind of like David Krieg of football. Never got enough respect by the masses. The low community of filimg, did it's job and praised this film for what it was, but the rest, sat back, and did nothing. Hey, I thought it was really good. It was pretty engaging, and I watched the thing fully through, without even a bathroom break.

Lucas is five letters, and thanks to flixster each one can equate to a star.
