Review of Loving Leah (2009) by Roland S — 08 Aug 2009
This is the second very jewish movie i've seen and it's not bad for what it is.
There seems to be this new thinking of sharing some of the finer features of the faith.
There's a 'divore type' cermony that hilarious and there's also a thing about wives' hairs ...stuff like that.
As an observer, you might find yourself thinking there seems to be lots of similarities between the Jewish and Muslim way of life ...best not to repeat that out though.
Guys, stick with it; there's a damage control purchase that will bring a tear to your eye.
There's also a conversation with the mother in law that will make you take notes.
I don't know what the Jamaican tourist authority 'contributed' to the movie but they get alot of mention.
As this is a tv movie, there's that sad piano music pretty much all through it and there's even ad placement breaks.
All in all, it's a good sunday afternoon movie.
...oh that other jewish movie, 2 brothers, 1 really religious, 1 not so much ...both still very traditional though. So when that other one is having the affair with wife, they dont take their clothes off.
If this all sounds familiar, let me know as I cant for the life of me remember the name or the guy that was in it ...he's been in some movies.
He was a jeweler (the bad one).
