Review of Loving Annabelle (2007) by Michael S — 23 Jun 2009
This film deals with repressed lesbianism within Catholic schools, but the potential for an amazing romance film isn't quite met. Simone is a brilliant, mature and very capable Catholic school teacher who is married but longs for her late lesbian lover.
Trouble is, she ends up falling for heavily made up, shallow, insensitive, selfish and spoilt student and Senator's daughter Annabelle, who I'm left feeling doesn't quite deserve her at all.
