Review of Loving (2016) by Cort J — 01 Dec 2016

I love the case this movie is based on and it is a story that needs to be told in particular in current times....but this is a boring film (45 mins of the two hours could be cut as it is just people walking between rooms and looking into the distance).

..we are given no new information about the couple (hell a google search found plenty that would have been interesting) and because we focus on them not the lawyers the film drags hard...I normally love Joel Edgerton but his version of a southern accent is basically mumbling .

..this is likely to win Oscars but they will be for the "importance of the story" not the quality of the movie. Watch Selma instead.
