Review of Loving (2016) by Alan W — 08 Feb 2017
The social inequality dramas that are often released around awards season can often be over-acted, overly directed and lacking in nuance. This is certainly not the case with Jeff Nichols' latest, as he focuses on an important case of modern American social injustice, with grace, respect and intimacy.
Some may find the pace slightly languid, or possibly lacking in character exploration, however, this is should not deter any viewers away, as the manner of which the story and direction is handled is in honor of a couple who only wanted to live and love each other and not worry about any limelight and or self-importance.
