These movies have good plot and message, but with all of them the dialogue and a few awkward coincidences (like in this one, the sheriff always just happens to be passing by at the right time) would benefit from another rewrite.

And as with every one of these after the first, I always want to see more of Dale Midkiff's character...I find him the most interesting and strong of the roles.
