Review of Love's Long Journey (2005) by Brett B — 08 May 2008
The characters are fun, but the conflict is very cliche and unnecessary. I guess it's a theme in these movies (and books) that, for every story, one person dies. So far, each death (and the implications of the death) is different.
In the first, it was at the beginning of the film and set up the plot of not only the movie but also the franchise. In the second, it was before the film (told in flashbacks) and it showed why a character became who they were.
In this, it's near the end of the film and it's more part of the sub-plot than anything else. This death, like this movie, just isn't as interesting as the others, but it's still pretty decent.
However, the best and most memorable scene of the series so far is here. I won't spoil it. Just suffice it to say that they bury more than their lifesavings. That's a really good scene.
