Review of Love's Christmas Journey (2011) by Lindsay B — 23 Nov 2015

Another movie in the long line of Janet Oke's books-to-movies that began with "Love Comes Softly." It definitely follows the repeated story line where everyone's spouse dies but then finds love again.

It's Hallmark through and through - and this one intertwines a Christmas theme. 2 stars for mediocre acting despite appearances by JoBeth Williams and Sean Astin. The movie is 30 minutes stretched into 2 hours - it just goes on and on and on without going anywhere - and they lay it on thick.

Where "Love Comes Softly" had balance, this one leaves even the most romantic at heart rolling their eyes.
