Review of Lovers of the Arctic Circle (1998) by Muhammad A — 15 May 2008
Julio Medem successfully induces a sense of helplessness in the viewer as the film builds inexorably towards the final blow. While it is obvious from the beginning that this one circle will never be completed, the recurring synchronicity lulls you into expecting that the inevitable may be forestalled.
Exceptional direction, as always.
