Review of Lovely Molly (2011) by Sharrell V — 21 Nov 2012
Twisted and disturbingly demented in delivery, the scariest thing here though is not the blood or guts but the ambiguity. I cannot say Lovely Molly is a must-see, the plotting and writing is very messy, the actual goal is never revealed and the characters are near impossible to warm to.
However this psychologically-driven Horror has some good substantial ideas about child abuse and the torment on the mind as a result. As well as featuring a very dedicated lead turn. Molly is more interesting than Lovely but still I'm not sure the film is necessarily recommendable, more an odd interest to a few.
