Lovelace directed by Rob Epstein and Jeffrey Friedman - written by Andy Bellin. Starring Amanda Seyfried as Linda Lovelace (real: Linda Boreman), Peter Sargaard as Chuck Traynor, Sharon Stone and James Franco in cameo as Hugh Hefner the editor-in-chief of Playboy. Film premier took place at Sundance Film Festival 2013. FIlming started on 2012 (Jan-13) and wrapped in 2012 (Feb).

Plot of the movie circles around one of famous pornstars from Golden-Age-of-Porn Linda Lovelace (Deep Throat - also considered the only finest porn-film to have received wider attention all over) - from her starlet days through ultimate departure from pornography.

I watched Deep Throat few years back and had read the story about Linda Lovelace, her abusive husband who would point his rifle at her and force her to perform fellatio - her painful domestic sufferings mostly at the hands of her husband, made her enter the world indecency and so-called glamor lifestyle which offers nothing in the end except living at the edge of terminal diseases - and trauma which drive you in seclusion from the rest of normal social behavior. Linda would eventually launch protests against bad influence of pornography and sinister world.

Unfortunately film suffers failure to generate strong message in its simple plot, which although, seems to pass smoothly and yet somehow appears to be lacking finishing on dialogues. The need for humor to fill the space - Paul Thomas Anderson's Boogie Nights (another Oscar-nominated film Mark Wahlberg played pornstar probably depicting famous male pornstar John Holmes) brought humor by the inclusion of funny characters like John C. Reilly, William H. Macy, Philip Seymour Hoffman etc.

Amanda Seyfried studied great deal on the life of Linda Lovelace by reading her books, watching her interviews as well as 'Deep Throat', still I would not call this failure for Amanda but ignorance of the directors to overlook weaker points in the film make this suffer huge.
