Its very good movie...captivating. Sharon Stone...although she is unrecognizable kills it as the over bearing religious mom. James Franco makes an interesting cameo...but doesn't have the cool swagger to play Hugh Hefner.
The leads are also pretty good...they appear to be a young couple in love that come up on money problems. The only thing thats a DAMN shame is that....although there is some domestic abuse and rape scenes.
..it doesn't give the full scope of the abuse the porn star tolerated. The sad part is when Linda Lovelace dropped her book...not many ppl believed that she was a non willing participant in her famous movies and her other exploits that followed.
...and it seems the movie makers werenn't all that convinced either. They make the Producer of the movie Deep Throat the final hero although in real life his movie grossed 600 million and Linda made 1,250.
..whiich she gave to her then husband and pimp. Seems like they were trying to mirror Boogie Nights but sells out her legacy. I read that they cut out all of Sarah Jessica Parkers scenes...she played a femenist Gloria Steinem who Linda toured with for awhile to speak out against porn movies.
