Review of Lovelace (2013) by Tom K — 01 Feb 2014
Even though this movie isn't that great a hit with critics and the mainstream audience, I really liked the movie. i'm going to be honest i've never seen the intire movie deep throat and I never looked up any kind of information about Linda 'Lovelace' Boreman and in my opinion this movie gives an extremely dark and realistic look into the porno industry during the 1970's and of course the life of Linda. what I really like is how it lures you in with this glamorous, almost fairytale like view of Linda's life meeting Chuck Traynor, entering the porno industry and seeing her becoming the legend that she's known for...but after that just a view seconds we get thrown into the deep end see how it all really went down. I really like the casting in this movie, specially James Franco as Hugh Hefner. but I also like the small details that give this movie it's 70s style look, like the wallpaper the Boreman's have in their kitchen and the clothes that the cast is wearing.
I hope this movie will get some more popularity as the years go by.
