Review of Lovelace (2013) by Borhan K — 21 Nov 2015
Love Lave is a Drama Biopic about one of the first adult movie stars in the 70's. Linda Lovelace that's the name of the character she played.
The movie revolves around how she met her first husband and how she fell into the adult film industry.
At first I was meh this film is a one time watch deal and has no real meaning to it because my understanding was that it was glorifying the movie she acted in "Deep Throat" This was a shock and Awe movie for its time and everyone seemed to enjoy it. Apparently the movie grossed $600 million and Lind only got $1250 for her part.
The actual message of the movie revolves around relationship abuse and domestic violence and how in the 70's it was once you got married that's it you stay with the guy no matter what.
After she got out of the adult movie business she became an advocate for domestic violence and protection and how its important to speak out.
This movie is worth watching it has the guy from Sex and the City quite fitting Mr Big being in this movie. It has Amanda Seyfried.
This is not suitable for the kids adults only.
Surprisingly good.
