Review of Love Wrecked (2005) by Darren O — 13 Jul 2007

I really can't believe it got an average of 3.5 stars on flixster but it must be all the tween girls voting. When I rented the movie I knew it would be like treading through sewage - miserable and stinky.

..and it lived up to its reputation. I kind of would like Amanda Bynes to play more adult roles rather than the akward teen but this movie has nothing working for it. To the low budget effects, and the whole plot of her thinking she was shipwrecked but finding out the resort was through the jungle and pretending she was stranded because she was with her rock star idol.

And the token black was stereotyped because he was speaking urban and he was a ladies man. Why did I seriously rent it. I read an article that it was filmed in the Dominican Republic so I had to check it out.
