Review of Love with the Proper Stranger (1963) by Pamela D — 18 Oct 2008
Besides West Side Story, this has got to be another breakthrough performance from Miss Natalie Wood. Steve McQueen was amazing as well, he took complete charge and control of his role. Their chemistry was real and genuine something that wasn't conjured out of thin air.
Also, what I loved the most was the scene where she was about to have an abortion. I can't imagine how dark and taboo it must have been in the early 60s. LOVED how they played it so well. Great film!
