LOVE THE COOPERS is simply a failed attempt at an American version of LOVE ACTUALLY. It has the cast, the ridiculous crisscrossing of stories and characters, oh and it takes place at Christmas. But it ultimately falls flat.
Maybe it is because we have all seen LOVE ACTUALLY ad nauseam but we find none of intrinsic charm that allowed us to see past the silliness of the 2003 British Christmas classic.
If you like this type of movie you might find a storyline or two or a character you like, but do not expect much more. If this does not feel like your cup of tea to begin with: stay away!
