Review of Love the Coopers (2015) by Keith G — 19 Nov 2015
When I saw the trailers for this movie, I thought this one might funny. As it turned out, it was...in only a few parts. Fundamentally, this movie fell flat on it's face almost form the beginning. It isn't uplifting, redeeming, or anything that I had come to expect from a holiday movie.
It was, though, draining, boring, and dysfunctional. It provides a "third person" narration of the lives of people. Each have significant emotional/psychological problems. None of these problems are resolved during the course of a two hour plus story line.
Why John Goodman and Sarah Sarandon allowed themselves to be used like this is beyond me. I would definitely NOT recommend this movie to anyone.
