Took me more than 3 decades to finally get what that endless theme was all about... cliched as I found it, I began to see what a phenomenon Hiller's rendition of Segal's novella was -- and copied many times over in countless CJK-dramas & "chick" flicks. And what a 2nd hand imbiber i've been, unaware. Though I couldn't quite connect with these bostonian college kids from different worlds, catch this movie for their introductory banter -- the "verbal volleyball" bit was pretty well done.

But if it's a tearjerker you're after, watch "Crying Out Love In the Center of the World", and drop by the capital if you do visit, we could sip a cup of tea. :).
