Considered by many as the prequel to Ryan O'Neil's hit Love Story in the late 1970's but it definitely is not.
It's the story of an ill woman befriending & ultimately falling in love with a man who is going blind.
Margaret Lockwood is great in her quintessential role as the typical WWII Englishwoman. It's a little flat to be honest but does have some great scenes...falls a little short of Bank Holiday though.
