Expectations were high for this movie and it delivers... for the most part. It's a beautiful piece of coming of age cinema, with a thoroughly written main character. However, the script suffers from a formulaic coming of age coming out story.
The dialogue could've been elevated into a more realistic approach and some plot points could've been rewritten into a less-cliche teen drama.
